I loovvvveeee day trips. Today we got the chance to go to Guayaquil, which is the largest city in Ecuador. It is soooo different than Cuenca ( where I live) so it was super fun. Cuenca is in the Andes mountains and super cold ( other morning it was in the 30s ⛄️😨) and has tons of historic buildings/ architecture. Guayaquil is hot and super humid with buildings smashed together everywhere. The reason for this trip was to go to the temple 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 bah. I cannot tell you how excited I was. The drive was 4 hours long on a bus and we pass through all kinds of landscapes/ climates. We started in the Andes( where it was freezing) and then end up so high up that we were above the clouds. Literally. Then we descended and went through tropical( where it was raining) and beach areas (where is was so hot and humid). Crazy. But our ending destination was the beautiful temple. It shouldn't surprise me anymore, but everytime I see a new temple I'm still astonished at how stunning it is.

We loooovvvee the temple. We got to do tons of names.... But they had us be baptized first and then we changed and got ready... Then they realized we needed confirmations... So Lex, Megan, and I ended up doing about 40 each. Wowzer. Crazy. Anyways! What a wonderful day. After we went to the Iguana park. Pictures of that to come.

P.s. We asked our driver to take pictures of us standing atop the clouds.... He said he thought he did it and once we got back on the bus to look at them, we found these + some. Awkward moment when the camera was flipped the wrong way.
