Wow...I traveled to Denmark almost 2 years ago and I still haven't done anything with my pictures. I figure now is about time. If you have never traveled to Denmark, you are missing out. I can basically describe it in one sentence: You get to eat whatever you want/do whatever you want and somehow while you are there....you still get skinner. Sounds like a dream right? It was.
p.s. I guess I should probably say why I was there. Ever since I can remember, my parents have hosted exchange students in our home. It has been SO fun. We have had exchange students from Germany, Russia, Turkey, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, China, Africa, France, Norway and of course DENMARK! I love all of my students and they have all come to be like older sisters to me but Marie and I just bonded from the start. We were the same age and basically became best friends. After her year here, we decided I MUST go visit her. No doubt. SOOOOO the summer after she left, I flew to Denmark all by myself to meet her and her family. The Rasmussen's are the sweetest most accepting people. They treated me like their own daughter while I was there. I'm still not sure if Denmark was the part that was great or her family.... maybe both? Anyway. I still keep in contact with them and I can't wait to visit them again!

Marie (my danish soul sister) and her adorable sister Caroline.
This sweet girl. Caroline. I fell in love with her over this trip even though we didn't even speak the same language. Somehow we got by and became best buds. All she knew in english was "HEEELLLLLLOOOOOO DDEEEEAAARRRRR!" so that was my sweet greeting from her everyday.
Above and below is the Rasmussen's GORGEOUS summer house we stayed at for a week... right on the ocean.
She drives that...by herself...so impressive.
lunch by the pool
The three above are from a horse show. So much fun. We drove out to this classy house (more like castle....) and got to watch all the horses perform and people bid on them....sounds boring but we felt pretty cool.
One day we didn't have any obligations but it was a gorgeous day so we decided we needed to get all dressed up (red lipstick and all) and go have a picnic on the lake. We made delicious pasta and homemade limeade and went on out. SOOOO fun. Can you believe this lake is in their back yard? Still trying to get over it....
So....lets just say that this was at the end of the season of The Bachelor with Jef and Emily...we were major Jef fans and we were pretty pumped... so of course we had to take a "will you accept this rose?" shot!
